Thought
We must encourage our students to explore words (semantically and otherwise). The task of learning so many new words may seem daunting, so it is important that we make the vocabulary instruction as active and interactive as possible. Above all we must think about how English language learners are going to make new words their own AND what words will best serve them as they continue to grow as speakers, readers, writers, listeners, and thinkers!
